The service type is displayed in the a list of all services that can be ordered on the Tab - "Services" in the dialog Create Booking. Compared to Equipment Types no subordinate service elements are assigned to service types. Service types exist on their own and are shown on the tab "Services". In addition to this the types are used for billing.
To change exisiting service types, click on "Search" and all types will be displayed (provided that you put the "%"-sign in the entry field "Service Description"). Click on the according row and a detail view of that service type will open up. There, you can make changes which you need to save by clicking on "Save".
To create a new service type, click on "New Service Type" and complete the entry fields - name, descripton and display order. The display order enables you to define in which place the service type will be shown in the drop-down-menu on the tab "Services".
Futhermore, you need to assign an activity type to each service type. The activity type defines the price to be charged for services that were ordered on the Tab - "Services". Here, you can only choose from activity types that carry the type "Services".
Save your entries by clicking on "Save".
