Equipment

Here you can manage equipment that is permanently located in rooms (e.g. permanent beamers, air conditioning, blinds). You can also create equipment that can be additionally ordered by users when booking a room (e.g. overhead projector, VCR etc.).

To change existing equipment, click on "Search" and you will get a list of all pieces of equipment that have already been created (providing you put the "%" sign into the data entry field "Equipment Type Name"). Click on the respective row and you will get a detail view of the selected piece of equipment, where you can make changes. Finally, save your entries.

To create new equipment, click on "New Equipment" and complete the data entry fields. Each piece of equipment needs to be assigned to one Equipment Type and needs to get an inventory number. (In order to be able to create equipment, at least one equipment type must have been created before.) If you click on "Equipment is integrated into a(n) room (area)", a list of all areas will open up after you clicked on "Next". A click on the area's name will assign the piece of equipment to the selected area and will lead you to the page where you can complete the equipment's details. At the bottom you will find a new row called "Area is part of rooms" and next to it the rooms this area is assigned to (usually only one room except for compound rooms). If no rooms are listed it means that there are currently no rooms the area is assigned to.

To finish the creating of this room, click on "Save".
